MARF registers a €50 million Commercial Paper Programme by Portuguese company Mota-Engil

MARF, BME’s Fixed Income market, today registered a new Commercial Paper (CP) Programme by the Portuguese company Mota-Engil, SGPS, S.A. (Mota-Engil) for a maximum outstanding balance of 50 million euros. The Mota-Engil Group is a leader in the construction and infrastructure sector in Portugal and a well-established player among the top 30 European groups in its activity.

With this new Commercial Paper Programme in MARF, Mota-Engil opens up a new flexible way of financing that will allow it to launch issues with amortisation terms between 3 business days and 397 calendar days. The Programme will be carried out through individual placements of CP among eligible counterparties and professional clients over the next 12 months, based on the company’s needs.

Bankinter acts as the Lead-Arranger of the Programme and will also be a Placement Entity, together with Banco Finantia and BEKA Finance. VGM Advisory is the Registered Advisor of Mota-Engil in MARF while Vieira de Almeida & Associados - Sociedade de Advogados, SP R.L. has provided legal advice to the issuer in connection with the establishment of the Commercial Paper Programme on MARF.
