BME and The Spanish Global Compact Network Ring the Bell for Gender Equality

BME and the Spanish Global Compact Network will Ring the Bell for Gender Equality on 4 March for the third consecutive year. This initiative, in which more than 80 stock exchanges from around the world participate, aims to send the message that gender equality is key to boosting the global economy and the private sector has a pivotal role to play in it.

The event will take place next Wednesday, March 4, at 8:30 hrs CET, at the Madrid Stock Exchange Palace building (Plaza de la Lealtad, 1). The bell-ringing will be carried out by Beatriz Alonso, Head of BME’s Equity Unit, Cristina Sánchez, executive director of the Spanish Global Compact Network and Margarita Delgado, Deputy Governor of Banco de España, who will be accompanied by Antonio Zoido, chairman of BME.

The initiative is part of the Ring the Bell for Gender Equality international movement, promoted by the United Nations´ Global Compact and the Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) Initiative, which this year holds its 6th edition.
